The Yvon-Boudreau Prize awarded to Christelle Montreuil!

The Nicolet-Bécancour Mentorship Cell, coordinated by the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour, recently awarded the Yvon-Boudreau prize to Ms. Christelle Montreuil, president of the company Idéaux (formerly Christelle Montreuil, Consulting Service in Inclusive Design).

The Yvon-Boudreau prize has existed for 7 years now. It was established by the Nicolet-Bécancour Mentorship Cell in tribute to the humanist entrepreneur and former mentor who passed away in August 2015, Mr. Yvon Boudreau. This prize is aimed at a mentee who has distinguished themselves remarkably in terms of vision and originality of their business, for a particular initiative or contribution, for a significant contribution to the community, or for notable growth or development.

It was during the Annual General Meeting of the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour on June 20 that the prize was awarded to Ms. Montreuil by chief mentor Danielle Gamelin and Christelle Montreuil's mentor, Maria Duval. The laureate, who has a multidisciplinary background focused on inclusive design and universal accessibility, has a deep desire to place the human being, with their diverse abilities, at the center of reflection. Founded in 2019 in Nicolet, her company is recognized as a leader for its services related to the person, the object, and the urban and built environment. The company offers training, awareness workshops, and a consulting service in inclusive design and universal accessibility. Christelle Montreuil leads a team of 7 people after only two years of full-time work. Her company is one of the few in Quebec to offer consulting services in inclusive design. The recipient has been mentored since September 2022 and is also part of the 2023 group mentoring cohort.

A selection committee of three members from the mentorship cell analyzed the applications for the Yvon-Boudreau prize. The awarded prize is a trophy made by Nitek Laser of Nicolet, a long-time collaborator of the Yvon-Boudreau prize.
