PROAction Fund for Sustainable Development

The Fund's mission is to support the implementation of concrete actions or projects by providing financial assistance to encourage the transformation of practices of businesses and organizations in the region and to make it a leader in sustainable development.

The territory of Nicolet-Bécancour is rich in its achievements in terms of sustainable development. Cities, villages, organizations, businesses, and citizens are mobilizing more than ever by reflecting, getting involved, and taking action to be part of the solution and contribute to the fight against climate change. Our ambition to accompany and support this transition remains strong, and now more than ever, we must act collectively to make a difference for future generations. That is why we are joining forces through collaboration with Desjardins to establish a financial lever that will propel projects with a positive impact on the environment and communities.

A total amount of $40,000 will be allocated for the next 3 years to support sustainable and eco-responsible projects.

Guidelines

• Encourage businesses and organizations to take action on sustainable development.

• Support concrete actions that reduce the environmental footprint of businesses and organizations and increase social benefits.

• Engage businesses and organizations by demonstrating the positive impacts of their actions on the environment and communities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Fund, the Applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Have benefited from support from the SADC in sustainable development through the services offered by the PROAction program: integrated approach to sustainable development, tailored support (energy efficiency, eco-responsibility, sustainable development diagnosis, etc.).
• Private enterprise (200 employees or less), cooperative, non-profit organization (NPO), social economy enterprise, and municipality and/or citizen committee (local leaders) supported by the municipality or a local organization (NPO).
• Be located in the territory of the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour: MRC Nicolet-Yamaska, MRC Bécancour, and Grand Daveluyville.
• Be a member of a Desjardins caisse.
