The Mentoring Cell of Nicolet-Bécancour, coordinated by the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour, recently awarded the Yvon-Boudreau prize to Ms. Christelle Parker-Guimont of the company Côté & Parker Mécanique located in Baie-du-Febvre, a family business that she operates with her partner, Mr. Martin Côté.
Yvon-Boudreau Prize
The Yvon-Boudreau prize has been in existence for 5 years now. It was established by the Mentoring Cell of Nicolet-Bécancour in tribute to the humanistic entrepreneur and former mentor who passed away in August 2015, Mr. Yvon Boudreau.
This prize is aimed at a mentee who has distinguished themselves remarkably in terms of the vision and originality of their business, for a particular initiative or contribution, for a significant contribution to the community, or for notable growth or development.
A selection committee of three mentors analyzed the applications for the Yvon-Boudreau prize. The prize awarded is a trophy made by the company Nitek Laser of Nicolet, which the SADC wishes to thank for its valuable collaboration year after year.
It was during the Annual General Meeting of the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour on June 13 that the prize was awarded to Christelle Parker-Guimont. The presentation was made by Ms. Danielle Gamelin, chief mentor, and Ms. Valentine Roche, coordinator of the Mentoring Cell of Nicolet-Bécancour.
According to Ms. Danielle Gamelin, the laureate is a young entrepreneur who is organized, foresighted, dynamic, and hardworking, in addition to being very caring and dedicated to her family of four children.
