2 new mentors at the service of entrepreneurs

The Mentorship Cell for Entrepreneurs Nicolet-Bécancour and the team of the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour wish to highlight the arrival of two new mentors, Messrs. Denis Cardinal and Martin Côté.

Mr. Denis Cardinal is a CPA CA.  He has over 30 years of experience in certification and consulting services. He has served a clientele of manufacturing companies, service businesses, private companies, and non-profit organizations.  He worked for more than 20 years at the regional firm Verrier Paquin Hébert and then over 10 years as a partner at the international accounting firm Deloitte.

« I have always had a passion for our people and our businesses. In this regard, I have actively participated in regional life throughout my professional career. I now want to get involved in a different way. I embrace the mission of the mentorship cell, which is to help entrepreneurs create collective wealth. Therefore, I wish to help our business people grow our region », said Mr. Cardinal.

A graduate in hospital pharmacy, Mr. Martin Côté worked as a pharmacist in health facilities for 6 years before becoming a co-owner pharmacist for 22 years at the Jean Coutu Pharmacy in Nicolet. He has been involved in several causes in his community, whether in business or sports.  He is himself a great athlete.

When asked why he chose to mentor entrepreneurs, Mr. Côté responds: « Because I care about my region, I want to participate in the development of collective wealth here.  Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone, and it is easy to feel alone.  I believe that an entrepreneur who is well surrounded will have a better chance of success than if they are isolated ».

These two new mentors complete a team of generous individuals, experienced in business and management, who are pleased to support the entrepreneurs of Nicolet-Yamaska and Bécancour in developing their entrepreneurial know-how. Here is our wonderful dedicated and committed team: Ladies Danielle Gamelin, chief mentor, Jacinthe Marcotte, Louise McKenzie, and Monique Gévry, as well as Messrs. François Lessard, Michel Blanchette, Marcel Morrissette, Pierre Pinard, Claude Courchesne, and Richard Perron.
