4 companies and 4 municipalities in the region in sustainable development mode
The SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour, in collaboration with the Alcoa Foundation and the Regional Directorate of Services Québec of Centre-du-Québec, is proud to announce the creation of two cohorts made up of companies and municipalities that benefit from personalized support in sustainable development until June 2019.
The PRO Action support program of the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour aims to assist business owners and municipal administrations (elected officials and general directors) in carrying out strategic actions in sustainable development. The PRO Action program offers training, workshops for exchanges between participants, and support for conducting a strategic sustainable development diagnosis aimed at identifying the priority issues for each participating organization. Post-diagnosis support is then offered to identify opportunities for value creation and validate the most strategic actions to implement in order to reduce costs, increase revenues, reduce environmental impacts, and maximize social benefits. This support is provided by Marc Journeault, professor at the School of Accounting and head of the Research Center in Accounting and Sustainable Development at Laval University, in collaboration with Carolyne Aubin, sustainable development advisor at the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour.
« It is very stimulating to see the spontaneous commitment of the participants and their willingness to integrate good sustainable development practices. There is no doubt, they are looking to the future and have chosen to turn challenges into opportunities. They will certainly be good ambassadors of sustainable development in the region, and even beyond! », proudly states Steve Brunelle, general director of the SADC.
Through its PRO Action program, the SADC also offers conferences on sustainable development thanks to the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cœur-du-Québec and Hydro-Québec. These conferences are offered to all businesses, organizations, and municipalities in the Nicolet-Bécancour area. The next conference will take place on April 23 (lunch at the Montfort Hotel) as part of Earth Day, When the companies of tomorrow change the world - SD trends and business innovations, presented by NOVAE.
Nicolet-Bécancour, resolutely sustainable
The SADC takes this opportunity to announce the creation of the brand new image “Nicolet-Bécancour, resolutely sustainable”. This slogan, accompanied by a logo, will allow for easy identification of the various sustainable development programs and support offered to businesses and municipalities in our region.
