Coordinated by the SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour, the mentoring service is intended for all entrepreneurs and managers in the regions of Bécancour and Nicolet-Yamaska who wish to be supported by experienced individuals concerned about the success of the mentees.
Three types of mentoring are possible:
- Individual mentoring
- Group mentoring
- Occasional mentoring
The mentoring cell of Nicolet-Bécancour is a member of the Mentoring Network, which is dedicated to developing the full potential of entrepreneurs through mentoring, throughout Quebec. This Network believes that the growth of businesses primarily depends on the well-being of those who lead them.
Individual Mentoring
Support from an experienced manager or entrepreneur, for a suggested duration of 18 to 36 months.
The mentoring cell of Nicolet-Bécancour consists of managers and experienced entrepreneurs from various sectors who leverage their knowledge to help, support and accompany entrepreneurs and organizational executives in the success of their projects on a voluntary basis. Through mentoring, we help entrepreneurs find the necessary support for their development so that they can fully contribute to the economic growth of the territory.
Support that allows, among other things, to:
- Discuss their reality;
- Be supported in finding solutions;
- Validate their decisions;
- Improve their skills to stand out.
Group Mentoring
Support from our lead mentor, over 8 meetings.
In addition to allowing participants to exchange and share on common topics, this type of mentoring aims to develop the full potential of entrepreneurs while creating strong networking. The themes are proposed by the group and focus on the personal development of entrepreneurs. Some themes addressed, as examples: business vision, leadership, priority management, knowing how to surround oneself well, corporate culture, risk tolerance, etc.
Support that allows, among other things, to:
- Discuss common and relevant topics;
- Inspire each other;
- Share their entrepreneurial challenges;
- Break isolation;
- Have the support of a network.
Registration in progress!
The next group mentoring cohort will begin in April 2025.
Occasional Mentoring
Occasional support from a mentor, over 1 to 2 meetings.
This mentoring service is offered when the entrepreneur needs to quickly put a problem into perspective and explore solutions to make an informed decision in a particular situation.
Support that allows, among other things, to:
- Seek new solutions;
- Challenge their ideas with a neutral person;
- Validate their decisions.
