The SADC offers a financing tool specifically designed to support the acquisition of a business succession.
Two types of loans are offered:
Regular succession loan
Available for entrepreneurs who wish to acquire a business
- Loan up to $50,000
- Possibility of a capital repayment holiday of up to 2 years
- Maximum amortization period of 8 years
The regular succession loan comes from the SADC Fund
Youth Strategy succession loan
Available for entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 39 years who wish to acquire a business.
- Loan up to $25,000
- Interest holiday for 2 years
- Possibility of a capital repayment holiday of up to 2 years
- Maximum amortization period of 7 years

Primary sector
- Agriculture (traditional and emerging)
- Fishing
- Forestry
Retail and service businesses sector
- Personal services (e.g.: residence for the elderly)
- Business services
- Retail (e.g.: convenience store, stationery, etc.)
Manufacturing sector
- Basic (e.g.: food, wood, printing, etc.)
- Traditional (e.g.: textiles, clothing, metals, furniture, etc.)
- Modern (e.g.: machinery, diverse industry, etc.)
Driving tertiary sector
- Consulting engineering
- Robotics and computing (e.g.: software design and manufacturing)
- Recycling and environmental protection
- Tourism
* No financial assistance will be granted to a person or a small business for projects that offer or are likely to offer sexually explicit performances, products, or services or exploit sex.
* No financial assistance will be granted to a person or a small business that does not comply with the environmental protection measures specific to the project, measures that meet the requirements of all competent regulatory bodies.
