FOR AN ECONOMICALLY EFFICIENT, SOCIALLY EQUITABLE AND ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The SADC of Nicolet-Bécancour adheres to the definition of sustainable development presented by the Brundtland Report (1987): « Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It implies economically efficient, socially equitable and ecologically sustainable development ».
Through its mission, the SADC integrates concrete objectives and actions into its strategic planning for businesses and communities aimed at raising awareness, training, and support through its sustainable development support program PROAction dedicated to businesses, organizations, and municipalities. The SADC also refers to the available financial levers to support innovative sustainable development initiatives, including the implementation of eco-responsible measures and clean technologies.
